How Much White...

This past weekend seemed to be thee weekend for weddings and I happened to attend one on Saturday. At the wedding, I noticed a sacred wedding guest rule being broken quite a few times: I saw some guests wearing white, and I'm not talking a hint of white, I mean completely white and even sometimes bridal dresses.

I remember trying to pick out an outfit for the wedding, I came across a lot of white options which is only normal coz white is quite the trend this summer. Some options I came across seemed to be in a bit of a grey area-- a pastel colored dress with a white lace overlay, white dresses with print, silver dresses etc.

But really, how much white is okay? A white top with a colored bottom? A white bottom with a colored top? A white dress covered in print? A dress with a white lace overlay? A silver dress? Cream? Or is any white off the table?

I may be a little extreme but I say, unless it is the dress code, stay away from anything remotely white or bridal. If you asked yourself if it was appropriate, move on to the next.

I agree, very simple rule of thumb is keep the white for the bride! Some brides I've seen actually broke this rule themselves this year because I saw quite a few weddings where the bridesmaids wore all white too. I felt it looked weird, but hey, no one asked me!

Yeah, I saw a couple of bridesmaids in white too... But I agree with you, reserving white for the bride is classic!
