When you think of fall colors, you think of tan, green, orange, brown and those kinds of earth tones. Well when a color is such a hit as blush has been, it doesn't go out of style. Which works great for me coz I'm still not over my blush obsession.
I used to hate being associated with pink; I just thought it was way too girl and soft. Now I've fallen hard for this shade of pink and I've embraced the feminine because there's nothing wrong with it!
If you're into blush like I am, here are a few ways you can add a little blush to your life this fall...
A really simple way to wear blush this fall is as a dress, as pictured in today's ootd. And you can pair it with those embellished heels you've been waiting to wear. Blush is such a confident color that it is not afraid to let another item shine because it doesn't diminish its beauty. Can you believe I'm still talking about a color, lol.
Yes, some jeans, flared pants or a flared skirt in blush would light up any outfit. If you're not convinced, the next time you're in a store, try on some blush bottoms. The trick, especially for pants is you really want to go for your "real" size in these. The last thing you want is to squeeze your way into of some blush jeans like some of us try to get away with doing with dark wash jeans.
Another great way is by rocking a suede blush jacket. This is actually on my shopping list for the fall. I'm just looking for the right fit. With a suede jacket, you can throw it on pretty much anything and because blush is such a neutral color, you don't have to worry about whether its going to match or not.
Don't be afraid to pick up some blush heels. I got some blush heels for work at the start of the summer and they are one of my favorite buys. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to wear it with much but I was pleasantly surprised to notice so many items I was able to make it work with. My mom had given me some blush earrings a couple of months ago so every time I feel like I need something to complement it, I just put on the earrings and ta-da!
If you want to be a bit more subtle, you can opt for accessories instead... Some blush earrings, a blush purse (a suede blush purse, hello!), a necklace, a scarf. Don't sleep on blush!
I can't wait to continue wearing blush throughout fall and even into the winter, at least until I get tired of it. For now, enjoy today's cocktail event or wedding guest outfit inspo!
