Mixing loose-fitted clothing is one of the easiest ways to be comfortably dressed but it can be a tricky look to pull off coz you don't want to look like you're wearing a parachute, like bae would say... So here are some things to think about when putting a loose-fitted outfit together...
Pairing items with complimentary silhouettes is a great place to start. In this outfit, I've paired similar silhouettes together--I've got an A-line/flared skirt with a flared top.
You can hardly go wrong with monochrome outfit combinations. But if you want to mix it up, make sure the lighter color is the more voluminous item.
Even with loose fitted clothing, you still want to think about proportions. You want the items to be similar in size or the bottom to be bigger than the top so you're not over accentuating the top part of your body.
Wanting comfort does not mean you have to sacrifice your waistline. Wide belts are back this fall and that is a great accessory to add to define your waistline.
