The struggle of the perfectionist is that we want things to be just the way we picture them in our minds before we deem them good enough. But I learned an important lesson yesterday..
And that is that God can use even my most unflattering, most unfinished and unpolished moment to do what He wants to do, and to reach other people.
He’s not waiting for us to achieve “perfection” before He can use us--if we could be perfect on our own, we probably wouldn’t give Him all the credit and we probably wouldn’t need Him...
My power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.”
But He uses those imperfect moments, to completely debunk our belief of what we think is perfect, or how we think things should go, to remind us that His strength is not limited to that.
But God has selected [for His purpose] the foolish things of the world to shame the wise [revealing their ignorance], and God has selected [for His purpose] the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong [revealing their frailty].
