I have a natural inclination to want to be in control of things and to figure things out. So impossible situations can be debilitating. The good news is, I don't have to figure it on my own coz news flash, I can't... But I know someone who can and He doesn't need help; He knows just what to do.
I was faced with one of those types of situations a few days ago and I must admit I had a moment of weakness---I panicked; I mean, my heart rate literally increased and I felt like I was moments away from breaking out in a sweat like I had been sprinting.
Something I had been praying for for a very long time finally came through and I was afraid I could lose it just like that. I frantically began to google the situation and text a friend hoping to get some reassurance when I got reminded of Philippians 4:6-8...
6 Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God.
